What are Runes?

Runes are magical items that give power to the items you merge it with. They come with different characteristics that should all contribute to making you a better hunter.

Chance to break

Because they were created a long time ago, they are very likely to be destroyed when you merge them. You may also be lucky enough to find runes that are fully repaired, but it takes effort.

Success rate means the percentage chance it will be merged successfully on the item. Destroy rate is the opposite and is the percentage chance of the rune being destroyed.

Magic Dust

Magic dust gives you the ability to increase its success rate. This gives the rune a lower chance of being destroyed when applied to an item. These magic dusts are categorized to only work with their original rarity group.

Rune Orbs

Normally, items can only carry one rune's power. But with Rune Orbs, you upgrade the item so that it can hold more runes based on which rune orb you obtain. Rune orbs have their own categories for weapons, armor and tools. This means that you need your own rune orbs based on what you want to upgrade.

Black Scrolls

Removes a random rune enchant from an item and converts it into a certain percentage (%) success rune.

Tracker Orbs

These orbs can be applied to weapons and tools. They can either track blocks broken with a certain tool or monsters slayed with a certain weapon.
